Coastal Regional Queensland
Mediix · Brisbane, QLD, Australia
About The Role
A well-established regional Queensland public health service is seeking a Consultant Geriatrician to join its Department of Internal Medicine's Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services.
You'll be based in a vibrant coastal city of around 70,000 residents, roughly four hours' drive north of Brisbane (or a short domestic flight), sitting on the southern edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Think unspoilt beaches, a warm subtropical climate year-round, and the amenities of a mature regional centre — without capital-city traffic or housing prices.
Off the ward, life here means reef days out to Lady Elliot and Lady Musgrave Islands, turtle-watching at the world-famous Mon Repos rookery, family weekends at the beach, and access to some of Queensland's most productive fresh-produce country. It's a genuine sea-change destination with excellent schools, established medical infrastructure, and a warm, collegiate clinical community.
