Principal Systems Development Engineer

We design and develop electronic and electro-mechanical or systems-orientated products, conduct feasibility studies on engineering proposals and prepare installation, operation and maintenance specifications and instructions. What you’ll achieve

As a Principal Engineer, you will design and implement critical services, lead complex refactors, and champion quality. You will collaborate across teams to resolve dependencies and raise the bar for performance and reliability.

You will

  • Own module design, API contracts, and backward compatibility for system interfaces.
  • Improve test automation, code coverage, and release health metrics.
  • Optimize runtime performance and troubleshoot production incidents.
  • Provide technical leadership through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Ability to deliver resilient, maintainable system modules in enterprise environments.
  • Strong CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices for platform code.
  • Experience implementing safety, security, and compliance requirements in code.
  • Clear communication of trade-offs and technical decisions.

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent platform certification
