Second-Year Representative

The Second-Year Representative supports the Casing Junior Development team by promoting the program to second-year students and assisting across marketing, external relations, and event execution. The role serves as a connection between CJD and the second-year community, helping increase program awareness, engagement, and participation while providing insight into the interests and needs of second-year students.

Time Commitment

2–3 hours/week from September 2026 – December 2026 | 4–8 hours/week from Jan 2027 – April 2027

Main Responsibilities

• Promote Casing Junior Development to second-year students and encourage program participation

• Represent CJD within the second-year community and identify opportunities to increase awareness and engagement

• Collaborate with the Marketing team on promotional materials, social media, and engagement initiatives

• Support external outreach, including speaker recruitment and sponsorship initiatives
• -
• Assist with event planning, logistics, and day-of execution
• -
• Provide feedback and insight on second-year student interests to help shape CJD programming and outreach

Anticipated Learning Outcomes

The Second-Year Representative will gain hands-on experience in event planning, marketing, outreach, and student engagement while strengthening their communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. The incumbent will gain exposure to different areas of CJD, build relationships with students and external stakeholders, and develop leadership and initiative through cross-functional collaboration. The role will also provide valuable experience and skills that can support future leadership opportunities within CJD and the CUS.
