Shipping/Receiving Associate

About The Role

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping & communicate with supervisor.
  • Correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, status updates, etc.
  • Unload, uncrate, or unpack materials and transport to designated inventory location or proper disposal area using forklift or by hand as appropriate.
  • Perform computer transactions, including input of material receipts, cycle counts, stock adjustments, etc.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness.
  • Perform safe work practices as well as safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete all required safety training including working at heights.
  • Complete all required training for forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift operation.

Requirements

  • 2-3-year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced.
  • A Team Player who constructively contributes to a positive environment
  • Ability to communicate information (in small groups) to other employees.
  • Must be prepared to work extra overtime hours when required.
  • Knowledge of Shipping & Receiving forms & terminology (BOL, Packing Slip, COO, COC, etc.)
  • Good legible penmanship
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Experience with MS Word / Excel / Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, EPICOR, ORACLE)
