The North American Sample Operations team is responsible for the management and distribution of samples across BU’s. We consistently seek ways to become more efficient and effective in the management of these important resources. The responsibilities encompass looking at the overall process, analyzing data and recommending and implementing solutions to better serve the organization's investment
- This role is responsible for executing provisioning of samples and savings cards to the field force and contracted sales organizations in the US and Canada, as well as, ensuring rep-triggered sample requests are successfully delivered to HCPs in a compliant manner.
- Be the key account manager for several brand teams for the execution of strategic initiatives related to the allocation, ordering & distribution of samples and co-pay cards in the US.
- Ensure rep-triggered StartersDirect sample requests are successfully delivered to HCPs in a compliant manner.
- Provide analytic support to senior management in developing and implementing sampling strategies for the optimization of sample allocations while meeting compliance requirements.
- Partner with brands teams and PGS to accurately forecast sample demand to ensure no stock out situations of inventory.
- Support the StartersDirect channel to smoothly launch new products ensuring representatives are able to start sampling on Day 1 without any delays.
- Identify and resolve day to day operational issues as they relate to sample and co-pay card ordering and distribution in the US.
- Ensure adequate supply of sample and saving cards inventory and the effective distribution of these products to the field force and CSOs.
- Support PI changes or any starter package redesign projects and manage inventory to expedite introduction of new starter to market and/or reduce salvage.
- Manage the process for launching new starters to the US field force. Partner with brand teams, training and our distribution vendor to successfully launch new starters ensuring only representatives who have passed training receive product.
- Provides reports to support operations or key stakeholders as needed.
- Management of rep-triggered direct to HCP sample shipments across North America
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives related to direct to HCP sampling
- Ensure sufficient controls are in place for all rep-triggered direct to HCP regulatory requirements. Strong analytical capabilities (e.g. financial modeling and problem solving) and prior project management skills, including strategy execution and implementation of projects.
- Experience in business partnering with Business Units, brand and PGS stakeholders.
- Addressing and triaging operational issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively with prior experience leading cross-functional projects a plus. Strong organization skills.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High level of ability to work with other cross-functional groups to build consensus.
- Strong vendor management skills.
- Deep understanding of sample compliance regulations and supply chain processes.
- Preference for a candidate with a knowledge of ordering, distribution and logistics, preferably as it relates to samples.
- Proven track record of executing operations and solving operational problems.
- 5-7 years of pharmaceutical experience.
- MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
- Supply Chain, brand/marketing teams, Finance, vendors, Operations Managers, Sales Organization
- Experience in business partnering with Business Units, brand and PGS stakeholders.
