About The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Front End Washer Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot specialized machinery within our can manufacturing facility. This role ensures optimal performance and reliability of our front-end washing equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative measures on front-end washing machines and related auxiliary equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on washers, dryers, and associated conveyance systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex machinery malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Execute scheduled and unscheduled repairs, including component replacement, alignment, and calibration.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to aid in troubleshooting and repair activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine performance and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with the maintenance and repair of industrial washing equipment or similar automated machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls (e.g., sensors, motors, PLCs).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
