Senior Engineering Manager (SDET)

Join Cribl as a Senior Engineering Manager (SDET) and lead a remote-first, cross-functional team of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs). In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality is built-in from the start of the software development lifecycle, implementing test strategy from design to release. You will drive engineering excellence, deliver high-quality products to customers, and establish a strong partnership with product management and engineering managers. Additionally, you will coach, mentor, and grow a remote-first team of exceptional test engineers.

• Lead a remote-first, cross-functional team of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) responsible for the quality and reliability of all Cribl products.
• Implement test strategy from design to release, driving engineering excellence and delivering high-quality products to customers.
• Own the quality strategy across Cribl products, leading continuous improvement in test automation, CI stability, defect prevention, and root-cause analysis.

• Experience with AI-developed tests and workflows
• BS CS/EE or equivalent practical experience with 10+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role
• Hands-on experience in establishing testing strategy and defining quality metrics for products that will be deployed in both SaaS as well as customer managed environments
• Strong understanding of test architecture, automation, CI/CD, observability, release management, and root-cause analysis
• Thorough understanding of the SDLC and the changes required for agentic development
