Business Operations Lead

Join Zipline's Operations team as a Business Operations Lead. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day fulfillment operations of multiple charging sites in the greater Austin area. You will lead a high-performing team of Fulfillment Operators, manage staffing and labor needs, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for process improvement. This is an onsite position, and candidates must live in the greater Austin area.

• Lead, coach, and support a high-performing team of Fulfillment Operators across three to five sites, ensuring operational excellence.
• Own daily fulfillment operations, ensuring each site runs safely, efficiently, and reliably, while monitoring site performance and holding the team accountable for achieving key operational metrics.
• Use operational data to identify performance gaps, bottlenecks, and areas of inefficiency, and design and execute process-improvement projects that strengthen safety, productivity, quality, and the employee experience.
• Comfort managing schedules, labor costs, attendance, and employee performance
• A self-motivated and positive approach, with a willingness to work alongside the team when needed
• The ability to manage multiple locations, competing priorities, and changing operational needs
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience leading frontline employees in a fast-paced, physically active environment
• Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug screening, and employment eligibility verification
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Experience using performance data to make decisions and improve operational results
• At least two years of experience in operations, warehouse logistics, retail management, fulfillment, distribution, or a related field
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform physical duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between assigned locations
