About The Role

Join SpotOn, a leading technology company in the restaurant and retail industry. As the VP of Product Management, you will lead a team to build innovative products, oversee our Intelligence, Reporting, and Innovative AI teams, and work closely with our C-Suite to create strategy and define roadmaps. You will be a driving force in defining the product strategy and will manage a team of Product Managers. This role requires strong communication skills, experience in metrics-driven work environments, and a strong understanding of the product development lifecycle.

  • Lead and manage a team of Product Managers to investigate market opportunities, build product roadmaps, and make strategic adjustments based on client needs and data.
  • Define the product strategy for your product areas and contribute to the overall product strategy of the company, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Product Management, Sales, and Support to prioritize requests for new functionality and ensure successful product delivery.
  • 7+ years of relevant product management experience or equivalent, with at least 5 years managing and coaching a team of Product Managers
  • Fluency with AI tools like Claude, Vercel, or similar
  • Demonstrated instances of “getting out of the building” to put yourself in the customer’s shoes to understand their needs / how they interact with our products
  • Note: it is not uncommon for Product leaders at SpotOn to work shifts at our customer’s restaurants/bars
  • Experience and comfort operating in metrics-driven work environments that leverages data to make informed decisions
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience designing and delivering quality products
  • An ability to manage multiple projects in an iterative process
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. This role requires presenting to multiple audiences ranging from groups of SMBs to seasoned Investors and Executives
  • Experience making decisions with imperfect information and comfort managing teams through ambiguity, and complexity
  • Past restaurant experience, especially working in a restaurant, is a serious plus, but not a hard requirement
