Head of Utilities

About The Role
As part of our continuous growth and operational expansion, we are looking for a Head of Utilities to support the planning, coordination, and execution of utilities operations across our facilities. The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, compliant, and continuous operation of utility systems, while working closely with internal teams, external contractors, and technical partners. The position is based in Kryoneri.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage, guide, and develop a team of 10-15 people.
- Ensure the reliable and continuous operation of all Utilities facilities.
- Plan and monitor preventive maintenance programs for the utility systems.
- Coordinate technical interventions and resolve critical issues.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, and company procedures.
- Monitor system performance through KPIs and technical indicators.
- Manage maintenance contracts and external partners.
- Participate in installation, upgrade, and expansion projects for utility systems.
- Support audits, inspections, investigations, CAPAs, and Change Controls.
- Manage the operating budget and optimize utilities costs.
- Promote energy-saving initiatives and continuous improvement actions.

Key Objectives
- Uninterrupted supply of all GMP Utilities.
- High equipment availability and reliability.
- Timely execution of preventive maintenance.
- Compliance with GMP and successful support of inspections.
- Improvement of energy efficiency and reduction of operating costs.
- Development and effective management of the Utilities team.
- BSc or technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Naval Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role managing utility systems and their components, ideally in a manufacturing environment or on board a vessel/ship.
- Demonstrated ability to manage people effectively is essential.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Ability to handle pressure and demonstrate resilience.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
