Miami Country Day School is a PK3–12 independent school guided by the values of honor, respect, wisdom, and compassion. We're always glad to connect with education students looking to gain hands-on classroom experience in a K–12 setting.

If you're pursuing a teaching credential and interested in completing your practicum or student teaching with us, we encourage you to apply at any time. When a placement opens that matches your certification area, grade-level interest, and availability, our team will reach out.

Placement Areas

• Early Childhood (PK3–K)
• Lower School (Grades 1–5)

QualificationsWHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Current enrollment in an approved teacher education program
• A specific certification area and grade-level range you're pursuing
• Ability to meet MCDS's background check and compliance requirements prior to starting
• A university-assigned supervising professor and confirmed practicum hour requirements
• Willingness to commit to an agreed-upon schedule for the full practicum term
