Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Non-CDL Class D Drivers to join our moving company team in Jersey City, NJ . The driver will be responsible for safely operating company moving trucks, transporting household and commercial items, and assisting the moving crew with loading and unloading.

This is a hands-on position that requires safe driving, physical strength, customer service skills, and the ability to work as part of a team .

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company moving trucks and vehicles that do not require a CDL.
• Drive to customer locations throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas.
• Transport furniture, boxes, appliances, and other household or commercial items safely.
• Assist movers with loading, unloading, lifting, carrying, and placement of items.
• Properly secure furniture and other belongings inside the truck to prevent damage during transportation.
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the moving process.
• Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip and report any maintenance or safety issues.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, deliveries, and required paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime when required .

 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• Ability to work in different weather conditions.
• Ability to safely handle furniture and other household items.

 

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Driver's License – Class D or equivalent valid driver's license.
• CDL is not required.
• Clean and safe driving record preferred.
• Previous moving, delivery, transportation, or driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely operate a moving truck.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items repeatedly.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a moving crew.
• Must be comfortable working weekends and flexible hours.

 

• Monday–Sunday
• Weekend availability required/preferred.
• Overtime opportunities may be available.
