Associate, Merchant Acquisition - GrabMart

GrabMart, Grab's online grocery and retail delivery platform, is looking for an Associate, Merchant Acquisition to join our team in Vietnam. In this role, you will support end-to-end merchant acquisition and onboarding while collaborating with internal teams to build a strong merchant base and enable sustainable growth.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

Merchant Acquisition and Prospecting

• Support the identification of merchant gaps and priority categories to strengthen GrabMart's assortment and supply coverage.
• Research, qualify, and maintain a pipeline of potential retail merchant partners.
• Coordinate the end-to-end acquisition process, from prospecting and pitching to onboarding and contract signing.

Sales and Partnership Support

• Prepare and deliver clear presentations that communicate GrabMart's value proposition to prospective merchants.
• Support partnership discussions and negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial commercial terms.
• Develop customised proposals based on each merchant's business needs and growth objectives.

Acquisition Operations and Optimisation

• Follow and continuously improve merchant onboarding processes to ensure efficient and consistent activation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and business partners to support smooth merchant activation and handover to daily account management.
• Maintain accurate acquisition trackers and provide regular updates on pipeline progress, conversion, and activation performance.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with relevant teams to align merchant acquisition activities with GrabMart's business priorities.
• Support strategic projects and process improvements that enhance the merchant onboarding and partnership experience.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or merchant acquisition
• Preferably strong understanding of Quick commerce or E-commerce landscape, O2O (offline-to online) or retail tech industry
• Communication: both Vietnam and English
• Experience to work as part of a team and dynamic culture.
• Experience in e-commerce or food delivery industry
• Team and people management
• Knowledge of digital marketplaces and online grocery delivery services
