About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and repair track equipment at local and remote sites.
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures as required.
  • Rebuild component modules; test for functionality and assist with system start up at customer and home factory locations.
  • Assist with customer source inspections at home factory or customer locations.
  • Recommend equipment improvements or design changes based on personal observations, factory, customer, and rep input.
  • Travel as required to perform installations, source inspections and repair of equipment. Travel could be as much as 70% of the time and may require travel across weekends.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Keep up-to-date on engineering changes and new developments in the industry.
  • Submit all reports including expenses in a timely manner consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and complete assigned documentation.
  • Work in a team atmosphere.
  • Maintain an up-to-date passport
  • Duties require occasional lifting of track equipment and components up to 50 pounds, use of hand tools in confined areas, and standing or working in a prone position for prolonged periods of time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and to seek advice or assistance on technical matters when necessary
  • Ability to communicate with and work cooperatively with customers in the field
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all employees and to work cooperatively in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to work in a Clean Room environment
  • Ability to perform in stressful situations
  • Ability to perform in a high production atmosphere
  • Ability to proficiently read and follow electrical and fluid diagrams
  • Ability to work to meet the demands of the production schedule as required
  • Ability to use Time Management skills to meet internal target dates

Skills

  • 2-years direct installation, maintenance and repair of TEL Mark / ACT and SVG track equipment or equivalent field-related experience

Education

  • Minimum of 2-year electronics technical school diploma or equivalent industry experience
