About The Role
JOB SUMMARY
The Director, PMO serves as a critical leader within the HR & Payroll Redesign Program, driving the successful delivery of large-scale business and technology initiatives that support enterprise Finance Transformation objectives. This role is responsible for managing the program governance needed to guide this multi-year, enterprise-wide initiative.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator and relationship builder who thrives in highly matrixed environments, can effectively manage competing priorities, and possesses strong program management discipline. This individual will serve as the connective tissue across functional teams, helping translate strategic objectives into executable plans while ensuring risks, dependencies, decisions, and outcomes are actively managed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, or related major;
- 8+ years of experience managing complex projects or programs across multiple teams, from planning through completion
Preferred
- Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders to drive project outcomes without direct reporting authority
- Experience in developing and enforcing program governance
- Experience planning deployment efforts to large stakeholder groups
- Experience developing and delivering executive-level content
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Program & Project Leadership
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams and interdependencies across business, technology, vendor, and change management teams.
- Drive accountability across stakeholders to ensure commitments, timelines, and outcomes are achieved.
- Governance & Executive Engagement
- Establish and manage program governance structures, decision forums, steering committees, and executive reviews.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations, status reports, risk assessments, and decision materials.
- Facilitate discussions with senior leaders and executives, ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely issue resolution.
- Maintain and govern program management artifacts including RAID logs, dependency trackers, action logs, milestone reporting, and governance documentation.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted partnerships across HR, Payroll, Finance, Global Technology, Continent Teams, and external consulting partners.
- Influence outcomes without direct authority while effectively navigating competing priorities and organizational dynamics.
- Proactively identify stakeholder concerns, alignment gaps, and organizational risks, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between functional and technical teams to ensure business requirements and transformation objectives remain aligned.
- Program Controls & Delivery Excellence
- Monitor project health, progress, risks, issues, scope changes, and resource needs across all assigned workstreams.
- Facilitate risk identification, escalation, mitigation planning, and executive decision-making.
- Ensure consistency in project management methodologies, reporting standards, governance processes, and delivery practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in program execution, planning rigor, and stakeholder communication.
