What You’ll Do

  • Support members with developmental disabilities in their daily routines and activities.

  • Implement behavior support strategies to address challenging behaviors effectively.

  • Work with supervisors and other professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

  • Ensure member safety and comfort through attentive and respectful care.
  • Uphold member rights and dignity at all times.

Role Overview

  • Conduct facility tours for prospective families and visitors
  • Build positive, professional relationships with supported individuals and staff
  • Create, organize, and maintain program forms and documentation
  • Support staff in implementing effective teaching strategies to help individuals achieve goals
  • Assist with developing and coordinating monthly activity calendars
  • Help maintain appropriate staff-to-individual ratios within the day program
  • Assist with creating and organizing morning and evening staff routes
  • Supervise staff and provide coaching/correction regarding behaviors or language not aligned with company policies
  • Follow established procedures for opening and closing the center
  • Promptly report operational concerns, incidents, or staffing issues to the DTA Manager
  • Conduct staff assessments and observations to ensure quality care and compliance with program expectations
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and person-centered environment for individuals and staff
