Education

•Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics

Licenses and Certification

•Registered Dietitian or license pending

Experience and Skills

•No experience Necessary

Role Specific Responsibilities

• •Screens patients for determination of nutritional status.
• •Recommends supplements, advances diets and provides nutritional support to physicians/staff.
• •Consults with inpatients, family, physicians, nurses and staff, as appropriate, to provide nutrition education
• •Assesses and reassesses patients at nutritional risk and makes recommendations for nutrition therapy.
• •Develops or orders nutrition education materials for patients, employees and the community.
• •Reviews and revises modified diet information provided by Food & Nutrition Services.
• •Provides nutritional education to employees, outpatients and community members as needed.

Compensation (Commensurate with experience)
