About the JobDo you love the buzz of a well-run event and the satisfaction of checking every last logistics box before showtime? We're seeking an Events & Marketing Assistant to join our growing team!Lightspeed Systems has developed solutions to help K–12 school IT departments keep technology safe, secure, and easy to manage. As a part of the Marketing team and reporting to the Events Manager, you'll get our sales team in front of the right people at the right events, and make sure everything behind the scenes runs without a hitch.

As our Events & Marketing Assistant, you will

Be a driving force behind our event presence - research the right events, manage registration and logistics, and ensure the sales team is show-ready
Own the details that keep events running smoothly, from shipping booth materials to coordinating with vendors
Support broader marketing efforts, including supporting lead conversion, to help fuel our pipeline
About the RoleThe following are the essential functions of the position. This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary:
Research and identify relevant industry events, conferences, and trade shows aligned with company goals
Manage event registration - booth space, sponsorships, and attendee sign-ups
Coordinate event logistics - travel, internal pre-event communication, show service orders (AV, electric, material handling, etc.)
Help plan event happy hours, including researching and selecting venues, gathering and comparing pricing, and coordinating event details
Manage shipping and receiving of event materials, booth assets, and promotional collateral, ensuring items arrive on time and intact
Support post-event follow-up, including lead capture organization and handoff to the marketing/sales funnel
Support lead conversion - nurture campaign support and CRM data hygiene
Assist with general marketing tasks and projects as needed, including content coordination and campaign support
Keep event and marketing records accurate in the CRM
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
About YouThe following knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and key behaviors are preferred or required to perform this job.
1-2 years in event coordination, marketing, or related client-facing roles; four-year degree required
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and good at managing multiple moving parts at once
Thrives on logistics, deadlines, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Strong written and verbal communicator
Self-motivated, resourceful, and reliable, with a proactive problem-solving mindset
Ability to travel occasionally to support on-site event execution

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Salesforce experience, a plus
