About The Role

As an experienced Credit Analyst with expertise in equipment/ heavy machinery/motor vehicles, in this 9 month contract, you will undertake credit assessment for Australia and New Zealand jurisdictions, providing customer service from application to completion of documentation.

In this hands on contract opportunity you will

● Undertake credit analysis for equipment financing within policy, procedure, operating guidelines, governance requirements. Undertake assessments within agreed service levels and quality standards and to lending authority limits

● Perform and review Credit Bureau, Know Your Customer (KYC) and compliance checks

● Prepare, and submit for approval, a range of documentation, including but not limited to; credit memos.

● Maintain appropriate record keeping, including updates to required databases, systems and logs

● Manage customer queries, issues and complaints, including effective escalation as required.

● Undertake a range of activity and/or compliance reporting to schedule and/or ad hoc as required for internal use and/or for use by relevant bodies or authorities

● Actively identify credit related risks and issues, particularly in relation to compliance and governance matters, escalating and/or resolving these within limits of authority and responsibility

● Assist with account management duties (as directed)

● Share your expertise including providing support, coaching and mentoring to colleagues

To apply you should be an Australian citizen/ resident or already have approved work rights that allow unrestricted work for a period least 28 days longer than the contract period. Your profile would likely include:

● Tertiary qualification in Business/ similar (desirable)

● Proven experience in a similar role in the Financial Services industry with significant experience in commercial and/ or asset finance credit assessment, ideally in relation to commercial and/ or asset financing for equipment/ heavy machinery/ motor vehicles

● A current (or recent) Delegated Lending Authority of at least $100,000 or greater

● Sound applied knowledge of relevant Australian and New Zealand legislation, including but not limited to; Privacy Act, Code of Banking Practice and National Credit Code

● Proven ability to analyse and identify acceptable lending risk and exercise professional judgment

● Proven integrity in relation to conduct and compliance with policy, procedure, governance and regulatory requirements

● Experience in the preparation of a range of reporting and documentation for internal use and external bodies/ authorities

● Ability to coordinate and prioritise workflow and work items to meet deadlines whilst achieving high levels of service and quality

● Attention to detail and focus on accuracy

● Well developed general computing skills, including proficiency in the use of the MS Office/ Google suite and a lending customer management system

● Proven ability to develop and maintain professional customer and other working relationships

● Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills

● Highly developed numerical capability, analysis and problem-solving skills

● Proven ability to work autonomously without direct supervision, and, as part of a team in a fast paced, dynamic environment
