About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant Acute Medicine Physician to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will manage patients presenting with acute and complex medical conditions, providing timely assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and coordinated care within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Candidates with UK CCT, Western Qualified, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute medical conditions.
  • Provide rapid clinical evaluation and appropriate treatment for undifferentiated and complex cases.
  • Manage acute exacerbations of chronic medical conditions and medical emergencies.
  • Coordinate patient care with emergency medicine, intensive care, specialty, and surgical teams.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on current clinical guidelines.
  • Perform clinical procedures within the scope of training and expertise.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds, and clinical handovers.
  • Support safe admission, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
  • Contribute to clinical education, mentoring, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Acute Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty.
  • Specialist or Consultant-level clinical experience.
  • Strong experience managing acutely ill and medically complex patients.
  • Excellent clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
  • UK CCT, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board, or equivalent Western qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine and high standards of patient care.
