Purpose

The LBJ School HR team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate work-study student to help with general HR tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in administrative HR processes.

Responsibilities

  • Scanning paper files and organizing into UT Box
  • Help escorting faculty candidates around the building and receiving/distributing catering during candidate visits
  • Data entry (updating spreadsheets with course info each semester, software updates)
  • Event help with employee engagement events
  • General administrative tasks
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Be awarded Federal Work-Study on the Work-Study Verification (WSV) .
  • Must be in good academic standing and enrolled in appropriate credit hours as required by the student’s academic or non-academic title. Additional rules may apply in cases where stricter enrollment is required for Work-Study funds.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information .
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Smartsheet is a plus
  • Professional demeanor and attire
  • Punctual and dependable

Pay Rate

$16 per hour

Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment.
  • Repetitive use of keyboard
