Responsibilities
General Purpose: Maintains 24 hour-a-day accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on assigned inpatient unit. Oversees and directs unit activities including standards development, human resource management, assessment of resource needs and utilization, staff development and communication within nursing practice as well as among other disciplines and departments. Oversees all performance improvement activities at the unit level and participates in committees at all levels within the institution.

Nurse Manager will provide clinical and operational leadership across the labor deck, designated obstetric operating rooms, and the OB Emergency Department. Responsibilities include staffing and workforce management, budget oversight, staff development, quality and patient safety initiatives, and leading practice changes. Will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing census, patient acuity, and models of care are essential. RN licensure required,3–5 years of RN experience required; obstetric experience preferred, Management or leadership experience preferred, Master’s degree preferred required in 5 years.
