About The Role
- Guest Service Excellence:
- Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and professional, attentive service throughout their visit.
- Maintain a personalized approach with guests, anticipating needs and providing exceptional beverage experiences.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints with tact, professionalism, and prompt resolution.
- Bar Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily running of the bar, ensuring smooth operations during service.
- Ensure all beverages are prepared and presented according to established resort standards.
- Manage mise-en-place, stock rotation, and cleanliness of the bar area at all times.
- Team Leadership and Training:
- Supervise and motivate bar staff to maintain a high level of service quality and professionalism.
- Conduct on-the-job training to enhance product knowledge, service techniques, and customer interaction skills.
- Foster a positive team spirit and encourage collaboration with restaurant and kitchen teams.
- Inventory and Cost Control:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure accurate inventory management.
- Prevent wastage and ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of beverages and bar supplies.
- Assist in beverage cost control and report discrepancies or shortages to management promptly.
- Product Knowledge and Innovation:
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all beverage offerings, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic options.
- Contribute creative ideas for new cocktails or promotions that enhance guest satisfaction and drive sales.
- Stay updated on beverage trends and ensure the bar menu remains appealing and current.
- Health, Safety, and Hygiene:
- Enforce strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with resort policies.
- Ensure bar equipment is maintained and in good working condition.
- Administrative Duties:
- Assist in staff scheduling, daily reporting, and coordination of bar requisitions.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of bar operations.
- Education:
- School Certificate (SC) or equivalent qualification.
- A Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management / Bar Operations from a recognized institution
- Experience:
Minimum 1 โ3 years of experience in bar or restaurant service     within a 4- or 5-star hotel or resort 
- Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of beverages, mixology, and service techniques.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and French (knowledge of an additional language such as Creole or another foreign language is an advantage).
- Sound understanding of hygiene and safety regulations.
- Computer literacy
