About The Role

Join Lead Forensics, a leading UK-based SAAS company in the B2B sales and marketing space. As a Staff Engineer, you will lead the technical work from requirements capture to full implementation, using our modern tech stack. You will work closely with stakeholders, break down work into deliverable epics and stories, and ensure the quality and maintainability of the code. You should have at least 5 years of experience in TypeScript, experience in a mature CI/CD environment, and a strong aptitude for programming and problem-solving.

  • Lead the technical aspects of software development, from requirements capture to full implementation, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and scope solutions, and work with product teams to break down work into deliverable epics and stories.
  • Take responsibility for the design, architecture, and implementation decisions for the product, ensuring maintainability and operability of code.
  • Current and production grade TypeScript fluency (approx. 5+ years experience) is necessary for this particular position
  • Experience of working in a mature CI/CD environment, continuously deploying stories every day, following the DevSecOps methodology
  • Experience developing with clean code, SOLID principals and design patterns
  • Experience across all areas of full stack development, ideally developing large scale SaaS platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, including competencies to work directly with customers
  • A strong general aptitude for programming and problem solving. You’ll need to pick up new tools and techniques quickly and use them to solve problems
  • Experience with automated testing and quality assurance
  • A forward-thinking approach to accelerating production quality software development using AI (professional or personal)
  • Enthusiasm for building secure systems and implementing security best practices
  • A technical/computer science degree or equivalent professional experience
  • An understanding of how to build systems that perform well at scale
  • Enthusiasm for driving high standards in software development and working with like-minded people towards achieving ever higher levels of efficiency and performance
