About The Role
Join Mistplay, a leading mobile gaming platform, as a Senior Data Analyst (Product). In this role, you will enhance business performance through insightful analysis and drive analytics strategy. You will collaborate with Product & Lifecycle Managers to plan and analyze A/B tests, conduct proactive analysis to identify actionable insights, define KPIs, and design multivariate product experiments. You will also work with various stakeholders to define business problems, scope projects, and create execution plans. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of quantitative analysis experience, familiarity with cloud data technologies, and a love for gaming.
- Collaborate with Product & Lifecycle Managers to plan and analyze A/B tests, driving insights reporting to inform product feature releases.
- Conduct proactive analysis to identify actionable insights, diving into user behavior data to identify areas for improvement.
- Define KPIs for the company and build automated dashboards, reports, and models to enable teams to make better decisions.
- Experience with Python or another programming tool for statistical modeling
- Positive attitude and a healthy dose of natural curiosity. Questions have to be answered and our data isn't just going to analyze itself. (We're working on that.)
- Familiarity with cloud data technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Databricks to query and build data models and reports
- Past experience in A/B testing, and a strong foundational knowledge of core inferential statistics concepts (significance, power, confidence intervals, variance, etc.)
- Pro-level ability to synthesize and communicate complex concepts and analyses in simple, easy-to-understand ways, to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences
- 4+ years of work experience doing quantitative analysis (preferably in the tech industry) and a proven track record of impacting a business or product decisions
- Familiarity with Tableau or any BI tool
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields
- Fluency in SQL. Experience pulling highly dimensional and complex data, as well as modeling scenarios and sensitivity analysis using Excel
- A love of gaming and familiarity with the games industry
- Understanding of data science and machine learning techniques
- Experience working with very large data sets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop)
