About The Role
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Service & Maintenance
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment overhauls on JBT leased and customer-owned equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Complete service documentation, reports, and maintenance records accurately and on time.
- Manage parts inventory, identify shortages, and coordinate replacement parts as needed.
- Assist with equipment installations, removals, upgrades, and major mechanical modifications.
- Support customer operations by maintaining equipment performance and minimizing downtime.
Customer Support & Communication
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through professional service and technical support.
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and internal teams regarding equipment status and service needs.
- Develop a working knowledge of customer processing operations and equipment systems.
- Attend customer meetings related to equipment performance and operations when requested.
- Follow all customer site policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in required safety training and maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Follow established service processes, maintenance procedures, and operational guidelines.
Administrative & Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain company vehicle and tools in good working condition, if assigned.
- Communicate shift updates and service information effectively between teams.
- Represent JBT professionally at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by service management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of Apprentice and Service Technician I training requirements.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid Florida driver's license and safe driving record (if operating a company vehicle).
- Ability to travel and work overnight, weekends, and various shifts as needed.
- Personal transportation and reliable phone access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical, electrical, or computer systems training.
- Experience with industrial processing equipment.
- Knowledge of JBT products and equipment or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electrical systems.
