Senior Designer

The Senior Designer leads the execution of complex creative projects across brands and platforms. They provide creative direction, elevate design quality, mentor team members and ensure all outputs achieve a high standard of creative excellence.

Please note: Although this role might be posted as permanent, we are looking for someone who is open to freelance or fixed-term employment. Nature of employment subject to change based on business needs.

Job Description

Key responsibilities

• Be the guardian for the brand's visual brand identity, ensuring alignment and consistency in look and feel across all print assets and overall adherence to brand guidelines, updating and evolving where relevant.
• Support the art director with creative development on all editorial projects.
• Establish visual approaches for brands, campaigns and special projects.
• Proactively identifies opportunities for content work to be performed for clients, with guidance from art director.
• Present creative concepts internally and to clients.
• Review and provide feedback on work produced by junior and mid-level designers.
• Mentor and coach developing talent.
• Drive innovation across design, digital content and storytelling.
• Ensure quality control and consistency across outputs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or diploma in graphic design or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience as a designer.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for sports, fashion, beauty/grooming, lifestyle and pop culture.
• High level of creativity and editorial versatility.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to team success.
