ACCOUNTS PAYABLE COORDINATOR

Supports accounting functions of the organization by handling accounts payable functions.

Essential Job Functions and Tasks- These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

• Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. This includes monthly payments to landowners for leases. Payments are made through multiple bank accounts via various methods including checks, ACH and/or wire.
• Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
• Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
• Performs similar or related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with NetSuite a plus
• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
