About The Role
The IT Specialist and helpdesk specialist joins the IT Support team to maintain computer networks, software, and hardware across the organization. This role is critical in providing timely technical support and helpdesk services, with a primary focus on supporting production lines to ensure operational continuity
The IT Specialist and helpdesk will monitor and maintain factory computer systems, telephone systems, IP CCTV system and network infrastructure, while resolving technical issues ticketed through the company IT Ticket system.
- Production & Manufacturing IT Support
- Hardware Deployment: Set up, configure, and install shop-floor IT equipment including industrial PCs,  workstations, label printers, PDAs and barcode scanners.
- Production Line Support: Provide dedicated IT troubleshooting for the manufacturing environment to minimize operational downtime, ensuring all shop-floor equipment and user interfaces maintain seamless network connectivity.
- System Rollouts: Assist in deploying software updates and specialized configuration changes specific to shop-floor hardware and operational software applications.
- End-User & General IT Support
- Helpdesk Operations: Act as the first/second line of contact for local and remote employee IT issues, resolving tickets related to hardware, operating systems, and core productivity applications.
- Network & Infrastructure Maintenance: Troubleshoot local network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi), network switches, CCTV and manage  edge-compute devices.
- Documentation & Asset Management: Maintain accurate tracking of IT inventory (PCs, peripherals, software licenses) and document internal troubleshooting procedures.
- Systems Administration
- Daily systems and network administration, including but not limited to; Windows Active Directory, Azure, Group Policy and InTune operations. Monitoring of backup and infrastructure monitoring tools
- Creation of work instruction or similar IT documentation
- Limited Cyber Security tasks such as assisting with the resolution of security alerts, or working in a cyber security aware manner. 
•    Degree: Technical college degree majoring in Electronics or Computer Technical.
•    Experience: Approximately 2 years of experience in similar positions, with at least 1 years specifically in an IT support role.
•    Industry Focus: At least 1 years of experience in system, network, and infrastructure support within the Production industry (Joint Venture or Foreign Owned Company preferred).
