Senior Process Engineer (Remote) Philippines Only
Trident · Remote, Philippines
About The Role
The client is a health benefits platform serving individuals, families, and small businesses across all 50 states. The company acts as its own search engine, broker, and third-party administrator, offering Major Medical insurance and healthshare memberships alongside a consultative approach built around transparency and finding members the right plan at the right price.
We are hiring a Senior Process Engineer to extend our process engineering capability, not just our execution capacity. This is a genuinely autonomous role: you'll be pointed at a business area (claims, billing, enrollment, customer experience) and own the full cycle: diagnose, design using Six Sigma/Lean methodology, implement, and prove the result with a number.
You'll report directly to our EVP of Operations, a Six Sigma Black Belt himself, and work the same way, with the same toolkit, on real operational problems with real budget and real visibility.
What this role is not
- Not a role where someone else has already scoped the fix; you find root cause yourself
- Not a people-management role at the outset (though scope expands as trust and results build)
- Not a call center, inbound support, or scheduling role
Why this role
Real ownership of funded, meaningful projects, not a documentation or facilitation-only seat. A direct line to an EVP who applies Six Sigma at the executive level, and a clear path for scope to expand as trust builds.
Responsibilities
What independence actually means here
This is the single most important requirement, more important than certification level
- You find and engage the right stakeholders yourself. No contact list handed to you.
- You diagnose the true root cause, not the symptom that got reported.
- You design the fix using DMAIC, 5 Whys, fishbone, process mapping, and validate it before you build.
- You implement it yourself, coordinating everyone across the company needed to make it real.
- You're given a target, not a detailed brief, and you're expected to produce a working result.
If you've only ever executed someone else's pre-scoped plan or facilitated someone else's workshop, this isn't the right seat. If you've independently run RCA and driven a fix from diagnosis through adoption, this is built for you.
What you'll actually own in the first 90 days
Five concurrent workstreams: two with a design already scoped for you to build (onboarding/communications rollout, proactive claims-status communication), and three where you diagnose from scratch (a full CX manual-process audit, a claims call-volume root-cause deep dive, and an open enrollment risk assessment). Yes, that's an aggressive load for a first 90 days; we say so directly, and there's a built-in Day 30 checkpoint to re-sequence honestly based on real velocity. We're not looking for someone who needs that spelled out in more detail than a target and a deadline.
Requirements
- Six Sigma Black Belt strongly preferred (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt a plus); candidates with equivalent independent RCA/DMAIC leadership experience are encouraged to apply
- 8+ years in process improvement, industrial engineering, or business operations
- A track record of independently leading RCA/DMAIC projects from diagnosis through implementation, not facilitating someone else's plan
- Strong process mapping and documentation skills (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar)
- Comfortable partnering with a data analyst to turn raw data into dashboards, SLAs, and metrics. You don't build the pipeline, but you know what a good metric looks like
- Excellent written and spoken English; you'll present directly to U.S.-based leadership
- Full availability across U.S. Central Time business hours
- Healthcare, insurance, or benefits experience is a plus, not a requirement; strong business/digital/remote-work experience is an acceptable substitute
- Possess a laptop/desktop meeting minimum specifications: 16GB RAM, i7 operating system.
- Able to maintain a distraction-free home office setup.
- Dual monitor is a plus
- Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 15 MBPS).
- Full-time availability, committed to a 40-hour workweek.
Benefits
- Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a basic monthly salary of $3500
- Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): Accumulate up to 12 Paid Time Off days per year, providing flexibility for personal and vacation needs.
- Paid Holidays: Recognize and celebrate US Holidays with paid time off.
- Full-Time Remote Work: Embrace the flexibility of a full-time work-from-home arrangement, allowing you to create a comfortable and efficient workspace in the comfort of your home.
