Junior Shipping Accountant

On behalf of our client, a dynamic company in the Shipping sector based in Marousi, we are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant. This role focuses on daily data entry, invoice processing, and financial support, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within maritime accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Entry: Accurately post and register daily accounting entries, supplier invoices, and vessel expenses into the ERP system.
• Disbursements & Expenses: Assist in checking and processing port expenses, agency fees, and crew-related receipts.
• Reconciliations: Support the team with basic supplier and bank account reconciliations.
• Filing & Admin: Maintain organized physical and digital accounting archives.
• Experience: 1–2 years of professional experience in an accounting department.
• Location: Based in or near Marousi / Northern Suburbs (for easy commuting).
• Industry Passion: A strong desire to build a career and grow within the Shipping/Maritime sector.
• Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Tech Skills: Good command of MS Excel and basic familiarity with ERP systems.
• Languages: Good communication skills in both Greek and English.
• Any basic exposure to shipping terminology (bunkers, port expenses, disbursements).
