Electrical Technician/Supervisor

About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician Supervisor to oversee electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair activities. The candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems, maintaining safety standards, and minimizing equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electrical technicians and maintenance staff.
- Plan and assign electrical maintenance and repair tasks to the team.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, wiring, panels, and fixtures.
- Diagnose electrical faults and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Monitor electrical installations, modifications, and repair work to ensure quality and compliance.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of electrical panels, breakers, generators, UPS systems, motors, and other electrical equipment.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, inspections, and repairs.
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors for electrical maintenance and project-related activities.
- Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with safety procedures and applicable electrical standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of electrical tools, equipment, and PPE.
- Train, guide, and evaluate electrical technicians to improve technical performance.
- Respond to electrical emergencies and breakdowns when required.
- Monitor inventory and ensure the availability of essential electrical spare parts and tools.
- Prepare maintenance reports and provide updates to management regarding ongoing issues and completed work.
Requirements
- Diploma/DAE in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, preferably with supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, control panels, motors, breakers, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency breakdowns.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
