Are you a first or second-year law student looking to get a head start on your legal career?
Kanji & Co is a boutique law firm looking for a bright, motivated law student to join our Property team on a part-time basis.
You don't need previous legal or property experience – we'll train you.
What you'll get exposure to
Working closely with the Head of Property, you'll gain practical experience across commercial property matters, including:

  • property acquisitions and disposals;
  • commercial leasing;
  • due diligence;
  • drafting and reviewing transaction documents;
  • legal research;
  • developments;
  • liaising with clients, solicitors, agents and other stakeholders.
  • You'll gain experience across different stages of a property transaction and develop practical legal skills alongside your university studies.
  • Who we're looking for

We're particularly interested in first or second-year law students who

  • have a strong academic record;
  • are bright, curious and keen to learn;
  • have excellent attention to detail;
  • can think critically and solve problems;
  • are organised and able to balance university, work and other commitments;
  • communicate confidently and professionally;
  • are well-rounded and enjoy being part of a team.

Previous legal experience is not required. We're much more interested in your potential, attitude and willingness to learn.

Why Kanji & Co?

Kanji & Co offers something a little different from a traditional law firm.

We're a boutique law firm working with clients across industries including building products, mining, healthcare, IT and property development. You'll experience varied and interesting legal work without the traditional billable-hours environment.
