About The Role

Emerson is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work on our facility in Stafford, TX, In this position, you will assume a leadership role in developing, evaluating and improving our company's manufacturing methods.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standard.
  • Estimate production items, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
  • Provide support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design.
  • Develop and write equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposal for integrating machinery and equipment into manufacturing process.
  • Prepare detailed quotations for fixture, tool, and engineering requirements to be used in developing a formal quote for customer.
  • Oversee installation to ensure machines and equipment are installed and functioning.
  • Develop and conduct training programs on the safe operations of the equipment, and demonstrate skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
  • Design complex tools and fixtures.

For This Role, You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or any related engineering field
  • Knowledge of cutting tools and their applications
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Prior Emerson internship experience
  • 1 or more years of work-related experience
