About The Role
Position Objective
We are seeking a motivated GKA/Chains/Retail Intern to support our analytics and reporting efforts over a 10-week internship. This role provides hands-on experience working with data, dashboards, and business reports to help inform decision-making across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources
- Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs
- Document data definitions, processes, and findings
- Perform ad hoc data analysis as needed
- Create probability scores based on multivariate analysis
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts
- Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of relational models and ETL (extract, transform, load) methodologies
- Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Familiarity with statistical analysis concepts in the support of machine learning structures and predictive models
- Optional: Structural application of AI resources to large datasets (in addition to ML familiarity)
- Experience with computer languages such as SQL, DAX, and/or Power Query (M) on at least an introductory educational level
- Flexibility in pivoting between various data sources to create data collages for deeper analytics
- Ability to navigate data science environments such as Python, PySpark, or similar
- Good written and verbal communication skills
