Head of Commercial - LATAM

About The Role
As Head of Commercial – LATAM you will lead DLL’s commercial agenda in your Market and be accountable for translating DLL’s global commercial strategy into disciplined, profitable and customer-centric execution.
You will own market commercial growth, partner outcomes, customer relationships and sales performance across relevant industries, segments, and channels. Working within the global commercial frame set by Group CCO, you will ensure your Market has the right commercial focus, industry specialization and execution discipline to grow sustainably while improving customer and partner experience.
In this role, you will sit at the heart of DLL’s market-led operating model. You will report to the General Manager, LATAM, with a functional line to the Group CCO, and will work closely with Operations, Risk, Finance, Digital and HR to ensure commercial ambition is matched by execution quality, risk discipline, operational scalability and member capability.
You will lead with a strong enterprise mindset: close to the customer, accountable for commercial outcomes, and committed to simplifying how DLL sells, partners and delivers. Success means building a commercially sharp organization that grows NBV, margin, non-interest income, CROIC and partner loyalty — while operating within clear global guardrails.
Your Mission
- Drive sustainable and profitable commercial growth across the Market, in line with DLL’s global strategy and local market priorities.
- Own the Market commercial strategy and translate it into clear execution priorities across customer segments, industries, partners and channels.
- Build, protect, grow and diversify key customer, vendor, dealer and partner relationships in the Market.
- Lead the Market commercial organization, including sales, account management, commercial support, marketing and related commercial capabilities where applicable.
- Implement DLL’s global commercial strategy locally, while ensuring market-specific opportunities are captured within agreed global guardrails.
- Strengthening industry and customer segmentation to ensure commercial resources are focused on the most attractive growth and profitability opportunities.
- Drive commercial performance across portfolio growth, NBV, CROIC, non-interest income and sales productivity.
- Partner closely with Operations to improve speed, quality, scalability and customer experience across commercial journeys.
- Partner closely with Risk to ensure credit, structure, pricing and deal discipline are embedded early in commercial decision-making.
- Ensure clear handshakes between Market Commercial teams and Global CCO teams, including Strategic Partnerships, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Product Management and Product Development, M&A and Commercial Centers of Expertise.
- Engage in reviews of programs which programs are managed globally versus locally, and ensure local execution is aligned with the agreed program mandate.
- Support development of commercial talent, sales force effectiveness, and role-modeling of customer-centric behaviors. (Commercial Effectiveness)
- Drive adoption of digital value propositions, commercial tooling and standardized ways of working to improve scalability and consistency.
- Foster a performance culture focused on accountability, customer outcomes, disciplined growth and collaboration across functions
Skills and Capabilities Required
- Senior commercial leadership experience in a market, country, regional or multi-segment business.
- Strong ability to translate strategy into commercial execution and measurable growth.
- Strong customer, vendor and partner relationship management capability.
- Solid financial and commercial acumen, including growth, margin, cost and profitability drivers.
- Ability to balance commercial ambition with risk discipline and operational feasibility.
- Experience leading sales or commercial teams in a complex or matrixed organization.
- Strong stakeholder management across Commercial, Operations, Risk, Finance, Digital and HR.
- Ability to work within global guardrails while adapting to local market realities.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation, sales effectiveness, and partner management.
- Ability to simplify complexity and create clear priorities for teams.
- Strong people's leadership skills, including coaching, change management, capability building, and performance management.
- Customer-centric mindset with a strong focus on execution quality and long-term relationship value.
- Data-driven approach to performance steering and commercial decision-making. (CRM + Business Analytics)
- Strong understanding of the asset valuation process and ability to maximize asset returns.
- Alignment of sales and marketing to deliver the customer and partner value proposition for partners and DLL own brand.
- Fluent English (required)
