Corporate Senior Accountant

About The Role
The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information and supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for corporate entities. This position plays a key role in month-end closing process, consolidation, financial reporting, account reconciliations and statutory reporting. The Senior Accountant works closely with domestic and international accounting teams, corporate department leaders, and external auditors to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
General Accounting & Month-End Close
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, intercompany transactions, payroll entries, treasury activities, and interest calculations.
- Prepare and post consolidation and elimination entries.
- Prepare reconciliations and perform detailed analysis of assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Research, investigate, and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure recurring entries, amortization schedules, and expense allocations are recorded accurately.
- Work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Tax, and other departments to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.
- Support Corporate Department by reviewing operating expenses, monitoring variances, and recording monthly accruals.
- Perform detailed variance analysis and identify financial trends and unusual fluctuations.
Audit & Compliance
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external auditors.
- Coordinate responses to audit requests and explain accounting transactions and balances.
- Assist with statutory audits and the preparation of statutory financial statements for international entities.
- Assist with preparation of local government census reports.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in special projects, including acquisitions, financing transactions, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls within the accounting and reporting processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle FCC (Financial Consolidation and Close) or HFM.
- Experience with multinational organizations.
- Financial reporting and statutory reporting experience.
- Experience supporting external audits and regulatory filings
