Position Summary

The HR Coordinator – Talent Acquisition is responsible for supporting and coordinating the full recruitment and hiring process for Dorsey College. This role has a strong focus on talent acquisition, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, offer preparation, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding support. The position also provides general HR administrative support and assists with HR programs and initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full recruitment process from job posting through onboarding.
  • Create, update, and post job openings across appropriate recruitment platforms.
  • Source and identify qualified candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and other recruitment channels.
  • Review applications and resumes and conduct initial candidate screening.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and provide timely updates.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and support effective recruitment strategies.
  • Prepare and coordinate employment offers and required pre-employment documentation.
  • Coordinate background checks and other pre-employment requirements.
  • Ensure recruitment activities and candidate information are accurately maintained in Workday.
  • Support new hire onboarding and ensure required onboarding activities are completed.
  • Assist with recruitment reporting and tracking of open positions, candidates, and hiring activity.
  • Maintain accurate and organized personnel and recruitment records.
  • Respond to employee and candidate questions and direct inquiries to the appropriate HR resource.
  • Assist with HR projects, employee communications, training, benefits, and other administrative activities as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable employment laws, regulations, and Dorsey College policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition, recruiting, or a related area.
  • Experience supporting the full recruitment lifecycle preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/recruiting systems; Workday experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume recruiting environment.
  • Experience recruiting for education, healthcare, skilled trades, or other specialized positions.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment platforms.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • This position is in an office setting with light to moderate noise levels, entails extended periods of sitting and computer work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; and have sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate a phone, computer keyboard and other office equipment.
