Senior Manager, Enterprise Media

Covetrus North America LLC · Remote, CA (US), United States

About The Role

Covetrus is a global animal-health technology and services leader dedicated to empowering veterinary practice partners to drive improved health and financial outcomes. We bring together products, services, and technology into a single platform that connects our customers to the solutions and insights they need to work best. Our passion for the well-being of animals and those who care for them drives us to advance the world of veterinary medicine.

POSITION SUMMARY

Covetrus is building our retail media network, and we’re looking for a leader to help scale it. The Senior Manager, Enterprise Media will own the strategy, development, and growth of our supplier-funded marketing programs across both B2B (veterinary practices, distribution, and clinical decision-makers) and B2C (pet owner) audiences.

This is a builder’s role. You’ll take a growing portfolio of supplier-funded programs and help turn it into a scaled, productized media network — defining the programs and packages we take to market, the pricing and planning models behind them, and the measurement story that drives continued investment. You’ll lead a team of media planners and oversee ~25+ supplier-funded programs, partnering closely with Sales, Supplier Relations, Category Management, Marketing, Creative, Analytics, and our animal health manufacturer partners.

If you’ve helped build or scale a retail media network, developed media products from the ground up, and know how to turn supplier and co-op marketing dollars into measurable growth for both the advertiser and the business, this role is for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Retail Media Network Development

  • Build and scale the Covetrus retail media network across channels, including site, email, digital, social, print, paid media, events, and in-clinic touchpoints.
  • Define and manage media programs: what is sellable, how it is packaged and priced, and how available supply is forecasted and monetized.
  • Develop and maintain rate cards, pricing methodology, and a value framework that supports supplier investment across media assets.
  • Establish scalable operating infrastructure across ad operations, trafficking, inventory management, campaign QA, and reporting, identifying where technology and external partners can accelerate growth.
  • Benchmark Covetrus capabilities against retail media networks inside and outside animal health to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Programming Package & Product Development

  • Develop new media programs, programming packages, and multi-channel solutions from concept through launch, including audience, channel mix, deliverables, pricing, and success metrics.
  • Build the annual and seasonal media programming calendar, aligning supplier opportunities with key category moments, product launches, promotional events, and buying cycles.
  • Develop sales-ready materials, including media kits, program overviews, one-pagers, and pricing.
  • Pilot and optimize new offerings based on supplier feedback, customer behavior, and campaign performance — scaling what works and evolving what doesn’t.
  • Identify and launch new monetization opportunities across the Covetrus media ecosystem.

Supplier-Funded Program Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of concurrent supplier-funded programs, from intake and scoping through execution, reporting, and renewal.
  • Serve as a strategic media partner to animal health manufacturers, developing programs that deliver against supplier objectives while growing investment with Covetrus.
  • Partner with Supplier Relations and Category Management to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and convert supplier marketing budgets into committed program investment.
  • Establish scalable intake, briefing, workflow, and governance processes that ensure deliverables, timelines, funding requirements, and proof of performance are consistently met.
  • Track supplier pipeline, committed funding, and renewals against annual growth targets.

Growth, Planning & Measurement

  • Lead media planning across B2B and B2C audiences, ensuring recommendations are grounded in audience insights, business objectives, and channel performance.
  • Establish consistent measurement and reporting frameworks, including KPIs, post-campaign reporting, and business impact for both Covetrus and supplier partners.
  • Translate performance into actionable optimization recommendations and compelling renewal stories for suppliers.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting on revenue forecasting, expense planning, and ongoing program performance.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Email, Analytics, E-commerce, Digital, and Site teams to appropriately monetize audience and traffic opportunities while maintaining a strong customer experience.
  • Serve as an internal expert on the Covetrus media ecosystem, including consumer-facing properties such as GreatPetCare and @DogsofInstagram, and how those proprerties can support supplier objectives.
  • Represent Enterprise Media in cross-functional commercial, category, and marketing planning to ensure media capabilities are integrated into broader growth strategies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team, setting clear goals and holding a high bar for planning quality and client service.
  • Manage day-to-day workload allocation across a portfolio active programs, balancing capacity and prioritizing against revenue impact.
  • Interview, hire, onboard, and mentor team members; conduct performance reviews and build career development plans for direct reports.
  • Build a team culture grounded in collaboration, curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in media, retail media, or marketing program management, including 3+ years leading and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience building or materially scaling a retail media network, media network, or monetized audience platform — not solely operating an established one.
  • Track record of developing new media programming, packages, or products from concept to market, including pricing and go-to-market strategy.
  • Hands-on experience managing supplier-funded, co-op, vendor-funded, or trade marketing programs at scale, including funding compliance and proof of performance.
  • Experience planning and executing media across both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and translate media performance into a compelling business case for partners.
  • Strong command of digital media, ad operations technology, and marketing measurement.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience in analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, and advanced Excel.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior internal stakeholders and external partners.

Preferred

  • Experience in animal health, veterinary, pet, healthcare, or another distribution- or manufacturer-partner-driven industry.
  • Experience standing up media operations infrastructure, workflow tooling, or ad servers.
  • Familiarity with retail media measurement standards and closed-loop or sales-attributed reporting.
  • Experience operating in a matrixed organization with sales, category, and marketing stakeholders.

  • Connects media strategy to revenue, margin, and partner outcomes.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Fosters teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity.

Process Improvement

  • Continually evolves the media approach, including new internal capabilities and avenues for innovation.
