About The Role

Summary

Join our engineering team and help design high-performing mechanical systems for complex building projects. In this role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative HVAC solutions that improve building performance, sustainability, and operational efficiency while supporting clients across a variety of industries.

Role Overview

  • Lead the design and development of HVAC systems for commercial, healthcare, mission critical, laboratory, aviation, and other complex facilities.
  • Partner with engineers, designers, BIM professionals, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Apply technical expertise to develop efficient, sustainable, and code-compliant building systems.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide guidance on system performance, design strategies, and project solutions.

What You'll Do

You'll help bring complex building systems to life, from early planning and concept development through construction support and project completion. Working closely with clients and project teams, you'll evaluate design options, solve technical challenges, and develop HVAC systems that balance performance, efficiency, sustainability, and constructability.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading HVAC system design, engineering calculations, equipment selections, and construction documentation.
  • Designing systems such as heating hot water, chilled water, ventilation, refrigerant-based cooling, and building automation controls.
  • Preparing technical specifications and supporting code-compliant mechanical system designs.
  • Collaborating with BIM and digital design teams to develop high-quality project deliverables.
  • Supporting design reviews and identifying opportunities to improve system performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Working directly with clients and project stakeholders to evaluate needs and recommend effective solutions.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering .
  • 6-10 years of engineering design experience.
  • Experience designing HVAC systems for a variety of building types and levels of complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, codes, and applicable industry standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or active progress toward PE licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting healthcare, laboratory, data center, aviation, or other technically complex facilities.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design approaches, energy usage analysis, and building performance strategies.
  • Familiarity with LEED or other building performance rating systems.

Pay Range

  • $88,848.52 - $133,272.77
  • The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors such as specific skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
