About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Advisor Safety, Health & Environment (Site Supervision) to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key authority on safety matters, overseeing and managing safety, health, and environmental compliance across our operational sites. You will champion a culture of continuous improvement and risk awareness while ensuring all activities align with UAE regulations and international best practices. - Conduct regular and thorough site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, safety violations, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety protocols, procedures, and programs tailored to site-specific operational needs
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses with analytical rigor; document findings and recommend evidence-based corrective and preventive actions
- Deliver engaging safety training and awareness programs to site personnel at all organizational levels, adapting content to diverse audiences
- Ensure full compliance with UAE occupational health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies through proactive monitoring
- Maintain organized, comprehensive safety documentation, records, and reports for regulatory review and internal stakeholder transparency
- Collaborate effectively with site management and operational teams to seamlessly integrate safety into daily work activities and decision-making
- Analyze safety performance metrics and trends to identify emerging risks and develop targeted, innovative improvement initiatives
- Conduct thorough hazard assessments and risk evaluations for new projects, processes, or equipment with a cautious, methodical approach
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related concerns, demonstrating empathy and responsiveness while escalating critical issues to senior management
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, safety consultants, and environmental agencies, as needed
- Monitor and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on site, promoting accountability and best practices
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure safety program effectiveness and communicate results transparently
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in safety, health, and environment roles with direct site supervision responsibilities
- Proven track record conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations in construction, industrial, or similar operational environments
- Strong background in regulatory compliance and working with occupational health and safety authorities
- Certification in occupational health and safety (such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 or similar international safety management standards
