About The Role
The Women’s Health Account Executive is a field-based specialty sales professional responsible for driving new business and expanding strategic relationships across two Northern California sales districts. The role focuses on OB/GYN practices, fertility and IVF centers, reproductive endocrinology, perinatology, maternal-fetal medicine, prenatal genetics, and other women’s health organizations.
This individual will serve as the women’s health subject-matter expert and opportunity leader, partnering closely with district leadership, Physician Account Executives, Account Managers, clinical experts, and operational teams. Success requires an established record of complex healthcare selling, disciplined territory and pipeline management, and the ability to engage clinical, operational, financial, and executive decision makers.
Territory and Location
- This is a field-based role supporting two Northern California sales districts.
- The successful candidate must reside in Walnut Creek, California, or the immediate surrounding East Bay area, to provide effective coverage across both districts.
- Regular travel throughout the assigned geography and occasional overnight travel are required.
Total Earnings (base salary plus uncapped incentive plan): $185,000 - $205,000 / annually
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

- Develop and execute a two-district women’s health territory strategy aligned with revenue goals, market opportunity, account risk, and organizational priorities.
- Prospect, qualify, develop, and close new business across OB/GYN, fertility/IVF, reproductive endocrinology, perinatology, maternal-fetal medicine, prenatal genetics, and related women’s health accounts.
- Build and maintain a credible, measurable pipeline with clear opportunity stages, next actions, decision criteria, stakeholders, revenue potential, and expected close dates.
- Lead complex sales involving physicians, medical directors, practice administrators, laboratory and embryology leaders, nursing, finance, revenue cycle, procurement, IT/EMR teams, and corporate or MSO leadership.
- Expand existing relationships by identifying unmet clinical and operational needs and aligning the appropriate diagnostic, genetic, connectivity, access, logistics, and service solutions.
- Partner with assigned Physician Account Executives and Account Managers to establish account ownership, coordinated call plans, and effective handoffs while maintaining accountability for women’s health opportunity progression.
- Develop executive-level relationships with key decision makers and maintain engagement through implementation, adoption, and ongoing account growth.
- Prepare and deliver compelling clinical and business presentations, proposals, bids, and strategic account reviews.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the women’s health and reproductive-medicine market, including competitive offerings, reimbursement dynamics, patient billing, laboratory workflows, and relevant molecular and genetic testing.
- Coordinate internal resources to resolve barriers involving contracting, billing, connectivity, specimen logistics, service, implementation, and clinical education.
- Accurately maintain CRM activity, pipeline, forecasts, account plans, and other administrative requirements.
- Conduct all activities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Required Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.
- Five or more years of successful healthcare, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, medical device, genetics, or laboratory sales experience with documented quota attainment.
- Demonstrated success prospecting for and closing new business, expanding existing accounts, and managing a complex geographic territory.
- Experience selling to medical professionals and navigating multiple clinical, operational, financial, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, account planning, pipeline management, and forecasting skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the travel requirements of the role.
Preferred Experience
- Established relationships with reproductive endocrinologists, IVF centers, OB/GYN practices, maternal-fetal medicine groups, perinatologists, or multi-site women’s health organizations in Northern California.
- Prior sales experience in fertility pharmaceuticals, reproductive genetics, prenatal testing, IVF laboratory services or technology, women’s health diagnostics, or specialty laboratory services.
- Working knowledge of carrier screening, prenatal screening, reproductive hormones, fertility testing, molecular diagnostics, and genetic testing workflows.
- Experience selling into large practices, fertility networks, MSOs, IDNs, or other multi-site organizations and coordinating decisions made at both local and corporate levels.
- Understanding of reimbursement, prior authorization, patient financial experience, contracting, EMR connectivity, and laboratory operations.
