Arconic is currently in search of an Operations Leader - Plate Mill to join our Rolled Products North America group based in Lancaster, PA.

  • Lead and develop a cross functional team consisting of maintenance and production resources to meet plant goals in accordance with safety and quality standards.
  • Set team performance goals and deadlines that are aligned to department business objectives and communicated to the team. This includes organizing and monitoring production workflow to ensure that employees understand their duties and delegate tasks to support customer needs and maintain target inventory levels.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching as well as managing the employee schedule and oversight of timekeeping and personnel files.
  • Comply with all employment laws and Arconic Equal Opportunity Policies in all hiring, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and ISO 14001 standards are applied and maintained across all business operations. This also includes ensuring that EHS incidents and quality issues are appropriately investigated and corrective actions implemented on a timely basis.
  • Monitor Department supply expenses and manage costs within budgetary guidelines which includes researching and ordering operating supplies to support production needs.
  • Attend team meetings, ensuring that team meetings are occurring and are being led by the team with engagement from Team Star Points, coaching the team to perform in a cohesive manner and drive continuous improvement across all metrics.
  • Engage the team in problem solving to develop strategic plans that include identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions.
  • Drive the use of all Human Performance tools by the teams.
