People Technology Platform Engineer (Workday)

Join our team as a People Technology Platform Engineer, specializing in Workday. In this role, you will design, build, and evolve our global Workday platform across core HR domains. You will work independently within People Technology Services, translating business needs into durable platform capabilities and ensuring solutions are reusable, maintainable, and aligned with long-term system design and governance standards. You will also partner closely with Product, Data, and Integration teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions across the People Technology ecosystem.

• Design, configure, and implement scalable Workday platform solutions across core HR domains, ensuring alignment with platform capabilities and governance standards.
• Act as a platform owner for assigned Workday domains, accountable for system behavior, design integrity, and continuous improvement, while maintaining platform reliability.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end platform solutions, and actively participate in Agile delivery, including sprint planning and backlog refinement.
• Proven understanding of the Workday Core HCM data model and data flows across business processes
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, with ownership of defined workstreams or sub-projects
• Ability to clearly articulate personal contributions to delivered solutions, including specific platform changes and outcomes
• Hands-on experience developing Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) used in production environments
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable configuration solutions, including business processes, calculated fields, and core system setup
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise platforms, including direct configuration and delivery of Workday solutions
• Proven track record to independently troubleshoot and resolve system issues across configuration, data, and reporting
• Experience translating business needs into system solutions, including evaluating trade-offs between speed, complexity, and long-term maintainability
• Demonstrates curiosity, continuous learning, and a proactive approach to improving both individual and team performance
• Operates independently while aligning with team standards and architectural principles
• Comfortable working in an evolving operating model, with a willingness to take ownership and expand capability
