Shift: Night Shift | Sunday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Sun - Thurs)

Are you a skilled mechanic driven by curiosity and problem-solving? Avery Dennison is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will act as a primary technical resource, driving equipment reliability, operational safety, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing facility.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical drive systems, gear reducers, bearings, shaft alignments, and process/utility equipment.
• Establish and execute mechanical inspection routes and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure plant uptime.
• Lead situational problem-solving to identify root causes and resolve high-level mechanical issues.
• Mentor and train shift maintenance technicians, sharing technical knowledge to build team capability.
• Create and update technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Single Page Lessons, and red-line schematic changes.

What You Bring

• Experience & Education: High School Diploma with 8+ years of verifiable mechanical machine repair experience OR an Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology / Journeyman Mechanical certification with 4+ years of experience.
• Technical Skills: Strong expertise in mechanical drive trains, bearing preloads, gear sets, drive alignment, and working knowledge of AC/DC drives.
• Core Competencies: High attention to detail, proactive curiosity for root-cause diagnosis, agility in shifting priorities, and a "Team Before Self" collaborative mindset.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Preferred: Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO standards, or maintenance management software.
