About The Role

  • Design, implement and maintain automated infrastructure and operational solutions across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python, PowerShell and Bash
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and deployment processes using Ansible, Terraform, VMware Aria Automation or similar technologies
  • Administer, configure and automate Windows Server and Red Hat Linux environments
  • Manage and support virtualization and cloud platforms, including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Analyse existing IT processes and workflows, identify improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions to increase efficiency and reliability
  • Implement infrastructure changes in accordance with ITIL-based change, configuration and release management processes
  • Provide second-line support to operational and project teams and coordinate with third-line support providers when required
  • Collaborate with multiple technical support groups to resolve complex infrastructure and automation issues
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement IT best practices, operational standards and security controls
  • Create, update and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and automation standards
  • Participate in project, coordination and technical review meetings and contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders and management while supporting evolving business and technical requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant IT infrastructure, system administration or automation engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a similar Infrastructure Automation Engineer, Systems Engineer or DevOps role
  • Bachelor's degree (EQF Level 6) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • English language proficiency at minimum B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
  • Good knowledge of scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell or Bash, configuration management tools such as Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms such as Terraform or VMware Aria Automation
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere or equivalent solutions, cloud platforms including Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, and Windows Server and Red Hat Linux administration, configuration and automation
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and ITIL-based change, configuration and release management processes within complex enterprise environments involving multiple support teams
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, prioritization, communication, teamwork and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to rapidly changing technologies and maintain a proactive, user-oriented approach

  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring, observability and incident response automation
  • Experience working in international and multicultural environments
  • Knowledge of IT security standards and infrastructure hardening practices
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and management stakeholders
