We are looking for a **Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)** to work closely with a portfolio of high-growth companies

backed by a leading VC fund. The role sits at the intersection of **AI engineering, enterprise architecture and business problem-solving**.

You will work directly with **CXOs, functional leaders and business teams** to understand high-impact opportunities and take ownership of **architecting and building AI systems end-to-end**. This is not a role for someone who only identifies AI use cases, recommends tools or advises teams. We are looking for a **hands-on builder who can go from a business problem to a production-grade AI system**.

## Requirements

**What You’ll Do**

● Partner directly with **CXOs, business leaders and functional heads** across portfolio companies to understand their business, workflows and technology landscape.

● Translate business problems into **AI-driven solutions and technical architectures**.

● Architect and implement **end-to-end enterprise AI systems**, including the underlying data, models, agents, integrations and infrastructure.

● Build and deploy AI products and workflows hands-on rather than limiting yourself to solutioning or advisory.

● Design **agentic AI architectures** and enterprise-grade systems that can operate reliably in real-world business environments.

● Own the entire lifecycle of solutions — from initial problem discovery and architecture to development, deployment and iteration.

● Work across different portfolio companies and business functions, adapting solutions to varied operating environments and technology stacks.

● Stay extremely current with the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem — including **new models, model releases, agent architectures, tooling, capabilities, limitations and jailbreaks**.

● Work closely with engineering and business teams within portfolio companies to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable and actually adopted.

**What We’re Looking For**

● Strong background in **Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, AI Engineering or a similar technical discipline**, ideally with subsequent experience in a Forward Deployed / customer-facing engineering role.

● Deep understanding of **AI architecture and enterprise system design**, particularly modern agent-based architectures.

● Proven ability to **build AI systems from scratch**, rather than simply using existing AI tools within established workflows.

● Strong hands-on engineering skills and the ability to independently take an idea from **problem statement, architecture,** **implementation,** **deployment**.

● Ability to understand business operations and translate ambiguous business requirements into technical solutions.

● Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with **CXOs, CFOs, functional heads and senior business stakeholders**.

● Curiosity and a strong bias toward experimentation, with the ability to rapidly evaluate and adopt emerging AI technologies.
