We are looking for an experienced **SAP ABAP Developer** to design, develop, and enhance scalable SAP solutions using modern ABAP development practices. The role requires strong expertise in **RICEF objects, Object-Oriented ABAP, SAP HANA, RAP, CDS Views, OData, and SAP Fiori/UI5**.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in delivering sustainable SAP solutions using the **Clean Core approach**, with a strong focus on standard SAP capabilities, maintainability, performance, and upgrade readiness.
## Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- Develop and enhance **RICEF objects**, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
- Develop modern SAP applications using **Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP)** principles and best practices.
- Apply the **Clean Core approach** by leveraging standard SAP functionality and minimising unnecessary customisations.
- Develop high-performance SAP HANA solutions using **AMDP procedures and CDS Views**.
- Design and develop applications using the **ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)**.
- Create and optimise **CDS Views** for data modelling, reporting, and complex business requirements.
- Develop and maintain **OData services** for SAP integrations and application development.
- Support backend integration with **SAP Fiori and SAP UI5** applications.
- Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable technical components following SAP development standards.
- Analyse technical requirements and recommend appropriate SAP standard or custom solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimisation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex ABAP, integration, data, and application issues.
- Ensure developed solutions meet performance, security, quality, and maintainability standards.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, SAP architects, business stakeholders, and other technical teams.
- Prepare technical specifications, development documentation, and solution-related artefacts.
- Contribute to SAP modernisation, technical debt reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with SAP S/4HANA development practices and emerging ABAP technologies.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- **5–7 years of hands-on experience** in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong expertise in **RICEF objects** across Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of **Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP)**.
- Proven experience implementing the **SAP Clean Core approach** and minimising unnecessary customisations.
- Strong expertise in **SAP HANA development**, including AMDP and HANA-optimised development.
- Hands-on experience developing complex **CDS Views** for data modelling and application requirements.
- Strong experience with the **ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)**.
- Proven experience developing and consuming **OData services**.

- Good knowledge of performance optimisation, debugging, testing, and code quality practices.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into efficient and maintainable technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with functional, technical, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative SAP development team.
- A Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline** is preferred.
