We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented **Production Merchandiser** to manage and coordinate the end-to-end production process for garment orders, ensuring products are manufactured and finished according to approved specifications, quality standards, timelines, and commercial requirements.

The role will act as a key link between design, sourcing, production, quality, vendors, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of garment production, **garment finishing**, quality control, production planning, and vendor coordination, with the ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines effectively.

## Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end production merchandising process from order confirmation through final dispatch.
  • Coordinate with factories, vendors, suppliers, production teams, quality teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain production plans, order details, timelines, specifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Follow up regularly with manufacturing units to monitor production progress and ensure timely execution.
  • Coordinate sampling, approvals, production quantities, materials, trims, accessories, and other production requirements.
  • Ensure production is carried out according to approved samples, specifications, measurements, quality standards, and buyer requirements.
  • Closely monitor **garment finishing processes**, including pressing, thread trimming, stain removal, washing, ironing, folding, tagging, labelling, and final presentation as applicable.
  • Conduct or coordinate inspections at different stages of production and finishing.
  • Identify quality issues, production delays, material shortages, and other potential risks and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Ensure finished garments meet required standards for appearance, fit, construction, finishing, packaging, and presentation.
  • Coordinate with quality teams to resolve defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented before dispatch.
  • Track production milestones and maintain accurate records of order status and delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate final inspections, packing, documentation, and dispatch activities.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with factories and production vendors.
  • Negotiate and coordinate production requirements, timelines, and corrective actions with vendors when required.
  • Escalate critical production, quality, or delivery issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain production reports, vendor records, order trackers, and other merchandising documentation.
  • Monitor multiple production orders simultaneously and ensure priorities are managed effectively.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production efficiency, quality, finishing standards, and delivery performance.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • **3+ years of experience** as a Production Merchandiser or in a similar garment production and merchandising role.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of **garment production and manufacturing processes**.
  • Proven experience in **Production Merchandising**, including order tracking, production planning, vendor coordination, and delivery management.
  • Strong understanding of **Garment Finishing** processes and quality expectations.
  • Good knowledge of fabric, trims, accessories, garment construction, measurements, and production specifications.
  • Experience coordinating with garment factories, vendors, suppliers, and production teams.
  • Strong understanding of sampling, approvals, production follow-up, quality inspection, finishing, packing, and dispatch processes.
  • Ability to identify garment defects and coordinate effective corrective actions.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding garment appearance, finishing quality, measurements, and specifications.
  • Excellent follow-up and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple production orders simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities with a focus on meeting delivery deadlines.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills when working with factories and external vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively identify production risks and bottlenecks.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing and production environment.
  • Proficiency in **MS Excel and production/merchandising tracking tools** is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with design, sourcing, quality, production, and commercial teams.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and commitment to maintaining high standards of garment quality and finishing.
