About The Role

Join SGS Glasgow, the Global Centre of Excellence for Biosafety Testing, and play a vital role in supporting the safe handling, tracking, storage, and shipment of samples that help bring life-saving medicines to market.
What You'll Be Doing
- Receiving, logging, storing, and issuing samples and test items.
- Preparing shipments and coordinating sample deliveries.
- Supporting laboratory housekeeping, cleaning, and waste management.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and databases.
- Communicating with clients and internal teams regarding samples and paperwork.
- Providing general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and archiving.
This role would suit someone from a wide range of backgrounds, including retail, hospitality, customer service, administration, logistics, warehouse operations, healthcare, scientific support, quality, or laboratory environments. If you enjoy being organised, helping others, and working in a structured setting, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll be
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing records, data, and multiple priorities.
- Confident communicating with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn.
- A team player who enjoys supporting others and solving problems.
- Interested in working in a scientific environment, although a science background is not essential.
What you'll need
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Confidence using computer systems and handling information accurately.
No laboratory experience is required. Full training will be provided. We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including retail, hospitality, customer service, administration, healthcare, logistics, warehouse, and other customer-focused or organised working environments.
